Dr. S. R. Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing (Dr.SRCISH) was established in 1977. It is one of the leading clinical and academic institutions in India which provides services to people with communication disabilities.
The college is recognized by UGC and affiliated with Bangalore University. It has been accredited with grade “A” by NAAC. The college campus is located on Hennur Road in Kariyanapalya, which is 5 km away from Cantonment Railway Station.
The institute also provides training to professionals in the areas of speech, hearing, and language sciences. The students are provided with courses in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Audiology (Aud), and Special Education. The institute provides modern teaching aids and ventilated classrooms.

SRCISH has a well-stocked library with more than 2400 Books, 1000 Bound Volumes, and 5 National & 14 International Journals. The library guides students in giving knowledge apart from a curriculum that includes research.
