Master of Law (LLM) in Law and Development:

The applying candidates must complete a 3 Year Bachelor's Degree in Law or a 5 Year Integrated Law program from any recognized institute or university in India or abroad. Applicants with any work experience can also apply.

Economics:

Master of Arts (MA) in Economics:

The candidates applying for MA in Economics at Azim Premji University, Bangalore must have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent program in Economics from any recognized institute or University in India or Abroad. Exceptions will be made if the candidate can demonstrate sufficient knowledge in Economics without the required degree.

Arts:

Master of Arts (MA):

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in any discipline can apply. The pursued program must be recognized from any institute or university either in India or abroad. Applicants with work experience can also apply. Applicants who are appearing for their undergraduate final year exams can also apply for MA program at Azim Premji University, Bangalore, but the admission will be valid only on the successful completion of the graduation.

Azim Premji University Admissions:

Azim Premji University admission application process is offered online for the undergraduate eligible candidates. The postgraduate candidates can apply both in online and offline mode.

• The applying UG and PG candidates are required to register online with Email, mobile number, and date of birth on the official website of Azim Premji University, Bangalore.

• The registered mobile number and Email ID will receive login details to access and complete the registration process.

• The candidates are required to upload a recent passport size photograph that is taken within the last 6 months

• The online application fees of Rs. 500 are required to be paid online by the applicants.

• The applicants applying offline are required to send the necessary details in a handwritten letter to the Azim Premji University, Bangalore admission office.

• A Demand Draft for the application fee has to be enclosed with the application form. The DD should be in favour of Azim Premji Foundation for Development.

• The name of the program that the candidate is applying to must be written behind the Demand Draft.

• Candidates also have to send their recent photograph with the Azim Premji University application form.

• The candidate will receive an application number that indicates the application procedure is complete.

• The APU, Bangalore admission selection procedure includes an entrance exam followed by a personal interview. Both of these are conducted in multiple locations all over the country.

• The candidate after the completion of the registration process will receive an Admit Card that provides complete detail of the test and interview centre.

• The entrance exam consists of English, Reading Comprehension, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Ability, etc.

• The shortlisted candidate will receive a letter to attend the personal interview.

Azim Premji Scholarships:

The management believes that nobody should be denied admissions, hence they offer attractive scholarships that cover tuition and accommodation fees of eligible students.

The scholarships offered at the university are based on Annual Family Income. Candidates with an annual income of less than Rs. 15 lakhs are eligible for the scholarships.

Azim Premji University offers multiple types of scholarships based on family income. Following are the details:

• The scholarships include a full waiver or partial waiver of tuition and accommodation fees.

• The candidates will have to pay the charges for food at actuals.

• The university offers scholarships for food only in an exceptional situation.

Note: 100% waiver on tuition fee is offered by Azim Premji University, Bangalore to the 4th year students of Dual Degree Undergraduate Program.

Azim Premji University, Bangalore offers scholarship facilities for the candidates whose family is from an income band of less than Rs. 7 lakhs per annum.

Azim Premji Scholarships Application Process:

The candidates being shortlisted for the interview can fill in the financial assistance form. The university’s decision will be final in awarding or rejecting financial assistance for the candidates.

• The applying candidates for the scholarship have to fill in the application form by providing the income details of the family.

• The supporting documents must be produced at the time of the interview. If the submission is delayed the application can be rejected.

• Azim Premji University will conduct verification and reserve the right to make a final decision that is non-negotiable.

The university provides a 50% tuition fee waiver for all working professionals with more than 3 years of work experience. Such candidates must submit their professional records or experience certificates while getting admission at Azim Premji University.

Azim Premji University Placements:

Azim Premji University ensures to find an ideal place of work for the eligible candidates. More than 2,300 graduates of the university have found employment opportunities that they find impactful and meaningful. More than 300 organizations from various fields participate in the placement drive on the campus.

The alumni of APU, Bangalore are currently placed in MNCs, startups, and higher studies and research institutes. Companies participating in the drive are large NGOs, Startups, Research Institutes, MNCs, and others.

The committee assists the candidates to find the ideal job they are looking for through a rigorous process. The placement procedure begins in February of every year and ends in the month of June.
