The syllabus for Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is built for the duration of the course, split into four semesters. The subjects covered in the first year are Object Oriented Programming using Java, Computer Networks, Mobile Application, Software Engineering & Project Management and Optimization Techniques. The third and fourth semesters of the second year is the project phase where the students are required to complete their internships and projects. They are required to choose elective subjects as well to complete the course

Students must have a B.Sc/ B.Com/ BA with Mathematics or BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree with a minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC students). They should have cleared the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET)/ Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) with qualifying marks.
