Candidates must have passed BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science/ Information Science/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Telecommunication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with not less than 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) in aggregate of all the semesters/ years of the degree examination or passed the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) exam in the appropriate branch. They should have cleared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test in Computer Science/ Information Science/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Telecommunication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with qualifying marks.
